1. Real 4K, not upscaled
4K at a smooth frame rate gives you footage you can crop and still looks sharp on a TV. Some budget cameras shoot "4K" that is really upscaled 1080p — the giveaway is jittery motion. A genuine 4K WiFi action camera plays back smoothly and holds detail when things move fast.
2. Wi-Fi transfers, so you never need cables
The best feature of a modern action camera is invisible: Wi-Fi. Shoot something, transfer it to your phone in the app, and share it the same day. If a camera does not have wireless transfer, you will use it far less — every extra step is a reason to leave it in a drawer.
3. A remote beats a timer
Whether you are on a bike, a paddleboard or a skateboard, you cannot reach the record button. A remote control means you film the moment, not the seconds before and after it.
4. The mount decides where it can go
